Name: (Michael) Barry Carroll.
DOB: 01/11/80.
Smokes: Not anymore.
Drinks: Yes.
Status: Still a student.

My name is Barry, and I am a native of Newbridge, County Kildare.

I live here in Dublin and sometimes Kildare, and I am currently studying Computing (IS) in Tallaght I.T..
I'm also pursuing a CCNA at the same time.

My main loves in life are playing guitar, motorbikes, computer games, and learning more about Computers. Things that I am dabbling in include Linux, Windows, Perl, C/C++, Java, PHP, HTML, XML, Cryptography, Firewalls, OpenGL, and Networking.

My Linux System is running on an Inspiron 8600, which has a Pentium M 735 with 1GB of ram and 60Gb of disk. I use Fedora Core3 on that machine. I also have Fedora Core 2 on a 'test' machine i have and that is running on an Athlon XP 2400+ with 768MB of memory and 160GB Disk. I'm sad to say that my main machine is currently a windows only machine due to me being away from home so much. It is an Athlon XP-M (mobile series) running way over clock at 2.5Ghz (Stock is 2Ghz) with 1GB of memory and over 500GB of disk.

All machines are hooked up over wired and wireless (g) ethernet. My connection to the internet is at the blazing speed of 44Kbps. :)
