Any news on the Linux version of WordPerfect 9 (aka 2000) with XML
built in (like the Windoze version has)? Last I heard was "December"
which I assumed to be a reference to the SGML/XML Conference in
Philadelphia, which is where they were handing out beta CD-ROMs last
time I went. V8 for Linux was the wordprocessor only: V9/2000 is
supposed to be the full shilling.
I hope they haven't muddied the water by putting all that effort into
their own distro of Linux -- I smell the dead hand of Corporate
Marketing here ("Ooh, let's jump on the bandwagon rather than
concentrate on what we do best" :-)
