Donncha wanted to do a web-based clone of Goldmine
(http://www.goldminesw.com). Goldmine is a customer tracking tool
with email integration. I just had a look at their site and they
promise a web-based version. Donncha has been very busy lately and
I've been busy so not a lot has been done with that.
There are a lot of other possible projects also. It would be worthwhile
to contribute patches to existing projects to make them easier to use/
fix bugs. We could do this systematically, selecting a paricular
application,
finding ways in which it could be improved, submitting
patches/suggestions
to the project owner. Any time somebody somebody posts a problem on the
ILUG
mailing list there's a possible improvement to be made to the piece of
software
in question.
I suppose I should have asked you first what kind of project you had in
mind
- development,documentation,advocacy/marketing?
Anyway, there's no shortage of work to be done.
If you're into assembly I have a partially reverse-engineered Win95
parallel
port scanner driver which I'm trying to port to Linux. I might
ressurect that
this weekend.
