[CLUG] Metropole clug meeting tomorrow?

[CLUG] Metropole clug meeting tomorrow?

Hi,

Is there a clug meeting tomorrow in the Metropole? 8:00 I presume if
there is. I should make it along (at least for a little while).

I should have my pc down the road from the metropole at that time. If
anyone has red hat 6.1 on CD, could they bring in along, and I can burn
off a copy (or just copy to HDD), I'll bring one or two blank CDs in
case any others want CDs too.

Also an idea for LAID: how about getting a few CDs of the more popular
distros for interested parties, either for sale (to cover costs) or
maybe subsidised from somewhere. Lack of decent distribution channels
is one of the things which IMHO prevents interested potential newbies
from trying out linux. The thing is we'd have to be sure the person is
at least technically competent enough to try out a cheapie CD (as
opposed to a boxed set) and not waste the organisers time.

Alan.

Oh yeah, will someone have a Tux along tomorrow?
