I have partially got to the root of my netscape problems
It is DNS related as I suspected
If I remove the Indigo nameserver names from my /etc/resolv.conf,
Netscape does not freeze anymore when I am off line
In the short term I have written a one line shell script which swaps in
a dummy and real /etc/resolv.conf when
I am on and off the Internet
tks for the help
If anybody has a more permanent/proper way of fixing this let me know
