install linux first with a bog standard kb
get usb backport from www.linux-usb.org
apply patch
recompile kernel
boot with usb keyboard on new kernel - hopefully :)
Alternatively you could use a development kernel. Also note that I haven't
done any of this, but that's how'd imagine it'd work out - in theory anyway :)
