[CLUG] quick question:

[CLUG] quick question:

Ruairi Roddy ruairi.roddy at examiner.ie
Tue Dec 12 13:14:50 GMT 2000

I'm obviously doing something stupid, but if my RH6.2 box can ping
everything in its subnet, but can't ping anything on the internet, then the
default gateway is not set.
However, it does appear to be set in linuxconf. So I don't trust linuxconf
any more.
Where is this information normally stored, so I can edit the file manually,
and what should an entry look like?
What service should I stop and restart to make sure that the new settings
are used?

best,
ruairi

{PS, if anybody wants help with Adaptec SCSI raid cards, I'm your man now -
that was yesterday's problem :)
