type /sbin/route -n and your default gateway will most likely be on the
last line.
To restart networking..
/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart
Run the route command again to see if anything changes.
If you want to restart networking on a foreign machine through
telnet/ssh then do
nohup /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart &
and you won't be logged out :)
take a look in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ I think for where it's
stored. There are appropriately named files in there. (eth0-cfg,
eth1-cfg, ppp0-cfg, etc.)
