Hrm,
The lack of understanding quiet bars in Cork is fairly sizeable. More to the point, the names that have been
thrown up so far have been of busy inner city pubs, remember that Thursday is the day when the majority of
Students get paid and want to hit the town for the night on ten quid.
There are a few venues that spring to mind, they are out of the way though, but I think its worth it. The best to
my mind is the Cruiscin Lan on Douglas Street. Its predominantly a bike bar, but only on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Its got a lot of room, bar food, good drink, and a quiet enough
atmosphere.
Im open to other venues, but lets stay away from the 'more popular' venues.
I have to ask again, why are we moving from the Metropole?
