Myself and a few of the lads have been talking about presenting talks in
UCC or the CIT along the same lines as the ILUG in Dublin. They have a
monthly meeting in Trinity with talks on several subjects. I was there
Saturday week ago and it was very impressive (learned quite a bit about
LDAP from Kate :).
We could probably host something similar down here. Not on quite the
same scale. We simply don't have the same number of people in Cork as
Dublin can draw on, but maybe a talk or two once in a while on a
scheduled basis could be arranged.
Anyone up for it? There's no payment possible out of this. Nothing
except your name in lights, and a bit of fame which never does any harm
for a persons' career.
Donncha.
