[CLUG] Corel Linux

[CLUG] Corel Linux

Hey again,
I didn't expect so much from my mail. I got Kenn Humbourg sending me nasty
e-mails. I sent the mail to this list only but he thinks I sent it to
ilug... I can't be bothered to reply to his mail as I know he'd only get
angrier. I just needed to vent my anger towards Corel in an environment of
users. I didn't realise it would be flame bait. I don't know what's
happening over in ILUG but i will be checking the archives...
Anyways, to get back to Linux...
I was using RH 6.0 some more taody. I am now in the annying predicament of a
crash every time i try to use the console while i am in Gnome. The whole
system freezes and you can't do anything. The Num Lock doesn't work so I am
guessing it is a hardware fault. I updated my XFree86 to 3.3.5 from 3.3.1
but to no affect. I have disabled accel in my XF86Config due to graphics
problems... ( I used Option "noaccel").
I am wondering has anyone else encountered this kind of grpahics problems in
Linux? The card runs fine enuogh in Windows with no crashes or anything.
It's only in Linux that things go bad.
If anyone has had this experience I would love to hear your remidies. I have
none myself other than getting a new gaphics card which I do not have the
funds for :(.
See ya...
Ben
