Won't write much now, I'm going to work on an article for the site at
the weekend.
I'd like to thank everyone who showed up, both to encourage us and to
lend a helping hand at the stand.
I might have organised things, but many others did just as much. I'll
forget someone now so just wait for the article :)
The show was a success for us. I think that can't be denied. We
discovered that Linux is reaching companies and people who we might have
thought wouldn't yet have known about it. It was a pleasant surprise to
see that training companies are actively looking at Linux as well
(Griffin Software already do training, I think there are another 3 or 4
looking into doing it by the end of the year!), and of course there's
that groupware software from Ecommerce Europe, Midland Software and HP
which runs on Linux which I'm dying to test out here at work!
(http://www.ecommerce-europe.com but I haven't looked at their site
yet), the Ecommerce-Europe CEO was great to talk to, actually, he's on
this list I think! (Hi David!)
highlight?
2-3 or even 5 people at our stand all the time while other stands had to
hire famous actors or grab people for attention, and a few people said
they came to the show because they heard Linux was going to be there.
