Subject: [CLUG] Question ;)
Has anyone had any trouble with ATA66 drivers and linux?
Have a friend who was trying to install Gentus Linux from a boot CD and was
having trouble telling it where it was installing from and to. He also had a
CDR to confuse matters further.
He shouldn't experience any trouble with Redhat 6.2?

I don't know RH6.2 but usualy ; the best way to install linux on a ATA66
drive is to put it on a 33 controler ; rebuild the kernel with the ATA66
patch ; change the /etc/fstab and /etc/lilo.conf to fit the system once
it wil be on the ATA66 controler (hda -> hde on my Abit bp6 mobo).
