Sorry, I know modem questions are probably the most asked, but I can't figure
this out.
The modem is an external MRi Mr. Modem. When I try and connect with the Mandrake
"Internet Dialler" - which would appear to be kppp - I get a "modem not
responding properly" response, no matter what port I try (that doesn't include
/dev/modem, but that's only a symlink anyway isn't it?). If I use the Gnome
dialler, I get a message something like, "pppd died unexpectedly".
I never had this problem with RedHat - what am I doing wrong?
