[CLUG] binary symbols

[CLUG] binary symbols

Hi,

i'm wondering what the implications of stripping the symbols from binaries
are.
i normally wouldnt care about this stuff, but after a recent compile of
wine, i could really do with shaving off any unused mb's :)
stripping debug symbols shouldnt affect anything, except gdb i assume. but
what about the relocation symbols? i'm sure i heard about leaving these in
shared libraries ?

am i making sense?
how deeply can i strip these buggering wine libs? :)

thanks for the help
Vincent Foley
