[CLUG] html bloody emails and netiquette..

[CLUG] html bloody emails and netiquette..

Donncha O Caoimh donncha at linux.ie
Tue Feb 20 19:48:04 GMT 2001

3 things to be learnt from this email:

1. Turn off HTML generation in your email client.
2. If you don't post frequently to a mailing list, sign any mail you
send with your name. Even if you do post frequently sign any mail with
your name.
3. Lower the barrier to entry. Make it interesting and easy to read your
mail. Don't start a sentence in the subject line and continue it in the
email body. Use punctuation.

Points 2 and 3 are simply common sense, and require no further comment.
Point 1 is learnt when you post using HTML, or simply educate yourself
by lurking on lists.

l33t dUdE,
Donncha.
