Help with small problem.

Hi everyone in Cork,
I'm looking for a little help. I have just reinstalled
Red-Hat 7, no
problems except when I log on to Ireland online (the internet in
general)
I cannot load any other programs from my hard drive. If I have programs

open already they work fine i.e netscape or staroffice once they have
been loaded before connecting they can load from and save to the hard
drive as usual. The same problem occures when logged in as root. I am
using a KDE desktop and connecting using kppp to connect. Your help
with
this would be greatly appriciated.
