[CLUG] nolimits

[CLUG] nolimits

Robert Heffernan bobheff at esatclear.ie

being one of those lucky people who still has an account with Esat
surf(no)Limits I'm sticking a linux box on as my gateway to the net
(finally)

I've tried logging on to esat using the normal username/password style stuff
and it hasn't worked

does SnL use PAP or anything similar (to your collective recollections)?

I tried using minicom to log on by hand. when asked for the
username/password I gave it nolimits for both (as per usual) and then it
gave me this line;

%Backup authentication

and asked again

this cycle repeats a few times and then the other end kicks me off

a little puzzling to say the least

what am I doing wrong?

thanks

bob
