Actually, to be honest, I like running Red Hat on the server. It's a pretty
good server OS when you get the hang of it - which I'm still doing
obviously. The only thing that bugs me is the extraneous crap that's
installed, especially with the server install. When I do a server install, I
want the basics for a server. Some of the RPMs that are installed are just
silly (I removed about thirty or forty RPMs from this one last night). One
of these days I'll finally find the time to strip it down on a local box and
build a distro suitable for remote, co-located machines, and send it off to
Red Hat for perusal.
