[CLUG] scripting languages

[CLUG] scripting languages

I would echo the PHP sentiment. Its pretty powerful and has built in support
for mySql and even Oracle.

However, try the following website for an easier (to start with)
alternative.... www.cfm-resources.com. This gives you free webspace with
ColdFusion primarily, though it also has ASP and supposedly PHP. All for
nothing. ColdFusion is great is all I can say.

The ColdFusion Application server is a commercial server, but this website
lets you use it for free. For $10 you can even point your domain to it. You
could download ColdFusion Studio from www.allaire.com which has a 30-day
trial, though you can set the clock on your PC back a bit.....or so I've
heard..... Its a great IDE for ColdFusion development.

You can use Access for the database on cfm-resources.com, which you probably
have on your desktop. There is a free version of ColdFusion server called
ColdFusion express which has some of the advanced features disabled.

Oh, and ColdFusion works on Linux, NT and Solaris......
