Hello all,
I know I know I know...a Solaris Q on a Linux male lisht!
Trying to install a SNMP security patch 106787-16 on a 2.6 (or 5.6!) box,
getting a quite manageable error of ;
===============Start Sun Moan===========================
# ./installpatch .
WARNING: /usr/sbin/patchadd is being used to install this patch.
Installpatch will be removed from Solaris patches in
the next release of Solaris.
Checking installed patches...
One or more patch packages included in
106787-16 are not installed on this system.
Patchadd is terminating.
===============End Sun Moan - thankfully================
The problem is, these Solstice packages ARE INDEED installed on the box
running at Rev 1.1 and as the patch description explains, it does not
require any previous patch-levels inorder to succeed to patch-up.
..And yes, I am root, checked exists files, and daemons, etc
Anyone got any ideas? Please....playment will be in Electrons...(Euro
Electrons of course)
Thanks
James
