Hi all,
Reading lwn.net I found a link to a good article explaining the memory usage 
issues for KDE. It seems that exessive memory usage comes from poor handling 
of shared libraries by g++, and this fact became a real surprise for me since 
I always thought that GNU compilers are the best.
