It performs reasonably well on my old PII 333MHz. Version 2.2.1 takes about
2 seconds to show the contents of /dev/ (1943 files). The version from
KDE 2.1.x was a lot slower. I found that KDE compiled from source was
noticeably faster and a lot more stable than the version that came with
RH-7.1 or Slackware 8.
It is a bit sluggish on my P166/72MB and totally unusable on
a P24T Pentium Overdrive (486 motherboard with 32 bit bus).
XFM is faster, pity it is so goddamned ugly.
Have a look at Krusader: http://krusader.sourceforge.net
