Looking for help.
I have Mandrake 8.2 on an AMD 350MHZ box, and I want to make it a server. I
have read, and read, and read, and am only more lost as to how to do two
things:
1. Allow my Windows Box (sorry, but I have a few still) to remotely login
to the Linux box, and run xwindows over Ethernet
2. Have Samba present a directory on my Linux box available on the network
neighbourhood of Windows
There are more things I would love to figure out, but these two are most
important. I have fiddled with every .conf file there is, and read the Samba
instruction in the How-To's and on the web, but everything is always just
slightly different, and nothing works, even though testparm says everything
is fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
