[CLUG] rhn-register and Proxies configuration?

[CLUG] rhn-register and Proxies configuration?

Marcus Viertel Marcus.Viertel at esat.com

This problem has annoyed me before and I wonder if anybody can help. To use
the update agent, a machine has to be registered, right? Even if I configure
the update agent with the correct proxy settings, it still needs to run the
stupid rhn_register script. After searching through the harddrive, I found
the cfg file with the proxy settings and added them in the suggested format.
However, when I start the rhn_register now, it simply bangs me out,
complaining about being unable to access the welcome message.

Can anybody help?

Cheers,

Marcus
