[CLUG] Re: Cork digest, Vol 1 #638 - 2 msgs

Hi all,
A newbie here. I got a friend to install linux-mandrake 8.0 on my PC ages ago and I've been playing around with it! Anyhowz, I don't know what I've done(famous last words) but the mouse now has a life of its' own.. ie it keeps jumping into the top-right corner of the GUI. Everything else is fine (once I don't use the mouse!) Any suggestions on how to fix the problem, or where I might get good documentation or even a book on how to fix this kinda thing. Related question; is it a big deal to update the version I've got or put in a whole new distribution?
gratefully
Des...!
