This is quite common, I've seen it on several machines, although it's
more common on laptops with glidepads than desktops with mice. I'm
afraid I don't have a fix...I reported it once, a longish time ago,
but as they couldn't reproduce it, it got binned. It's a synchro and
timing thing, probably mousedriver-related, not something you can fix
unless you know X and rodent drivers backwards.
