It's just a bummer that their peak times prices are more expensive that
Eircom's subscription service. I spend most of my time (30+hrs/week) on
during the day.
I'm no fan of Eircom, but I'm not going to pay more just to be a rebel.

Yup.....loads of info in boards.ie about this.
The CTO + CIO have been brilliant so far. They have been posting to
boards.ie and responding to user questions and complaints...
For example one guy, rightfully so complained about the 2-hour dropoff
timer...
The CTO turned around and changed it to 12 hour timer! CLASS EH !??!
I am signing up as we speak/type....
Only condition is...it is a total package so voice calls are routed/charged
to UTV...but hey, its not bad...noooo..its 25% cheaper....whose pockets do
you want to fill? an encumbent Eircom or a very helpful UTVip? UTV thanks.
150 hours per month = 5 hours per night = plenty
Also they support ISDN connections for free and very soon bonded-ISDN (128k)
connection for free .....like halllooooooooo :)
Go IOFFL/UTVip!

Did I miss something here?
http://www.utvip.com/
seems to be offering EUR 29.99 per month dial-up for 150 hrs
(1c/hr extra after that).
While we twiddle our thumbs waiting for DSL this looks useful.
