I need to mount my laptop from my server, so I did everything I
used to do...
portmap is running both sides
rpc.nfsd is running both sides
rpc.mountd is running both sides
both machines can see the other (I can ssh between them)
/etc/exports is set correctly on the laptop (/ servername(ro,etc...)
exportfs -v confirms this
laptop hosts.deny is ALL:ALL
laptop hosts.allow has ALL: aaa.bbb.ccc. (my local network)
But mount -t nfs laptopname:/ /dirname gets me the dreaded
mount: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = Connection refused
Server is RH 6.2 (and has done this mount before with other machines)
Laptop is RH 9 (and has never been mounted before, poor fella :-)
Any ideas? NFS used to work so well until someone started screwing
with security...
