Had the same question myself a while back.
I was using the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environment to
develop a website. I used Quanta in the end. (Cant remember why I
didn't choose Bluefish). Quanta is excellent and made the whole thing
really easy. It had colour settings for the appropriate language
tokens which made it a whole lot easier to read small errors before I
uploaded the website. Similar to the colouring idea in Emacs for C++
and that. It also gives a directory tree to the side of the main
working area which made working on different pages of the website
easy. It had some other features too which I can't quite remember off
hand.
One thing that annoyed me was that it was built for the KDE GUI (maybe
this has changed but I doubt it), I normally use GNOME. If you do
normally use GNOME I think there is a way around this other than
installing the KDE GUI (which I did).
