The Guild is running an event in Cork this month,
and we thought it might be of interest to Cork
ILUG folk.
D.
The System Administrators' Guild of Ireland
===========================================
Our monthly meetings take place on the 2nd
Tuesday of each month. We have *two* meetings
in November.
The first takes place at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the
11th of November, in the "Boole 3" lecture theatre,
in the Boole library building in University College
Cork. This is our first regional meeting, and is
held in association with the UCC Computer Science
Society. Donal Cunningham will give a talk on "Best
Practices in Network and System Administration".
The second takes place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the
18th of November, in the Institute of Engineers'
premises at 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
Several Guild members will give a series of talks
on "IT Security", in an event sponsored by both the
Guild and the ICT Division of the Institute of
Engineers. We would ask attendees to pre-register
for this event in advance by contacting Roisen Laue
at 01 6090239 or sending email to roisin at iei.ie.
An events calendar showing future meetings and the
slides from past events is available at
