I'm using netsource myself, never had an issue with it,
the speed is good and the latency is great, which
makes working from home a pleasure.
I have eircom and esat in work, both seem fine. Esat
did go down for long long periods of time a few months
back, but in the last few months I've not seen
either go down even once. So both seem to be fine.
As regards modems, I've heard people have issues with $x
modem, I'm using a Cayman Netopia myself, it worked
fine out of the box, really easy to use and I never
had a problem with it. For ease of use getting
a modem with ethernet saves allot of hassle. The only
problem seems to be it screws up some AAAA dns requests,
but I can just cache locally or use my ISP's nameservers
anyway.
