Gerard,

The Netopia Cayman from Eircom is fine. You can either use it
as a router/nat/dhcp server, or you can put it in ethernet
bridging mode and connect it to a firewall computer which runs
pppoe and acts as router/nat/dhcp server.

You have more flexibility with the second option, but if your
needs aren't too special, then using the web interface and the
first option should be ok.
