[CLUG] Emacs and antialiased fonts

[CLUG] Emacs and antialiased fonts

Hi,

Has anyone here tried the bitstream vera fonts in Emacs.
They are anti-aliased monospaced fonts that are very easy on the eye.
I'm using them in NTEmacs but the anti-aliasing is disabled on
Emacs/XEmacs on linux. The fonts look fine in xterm/vi etc.
Does Linux Emacs/XEmacs do its own font rendering ?
you can see a sample screenshot of what I'm talking about here...

Any help appreciated - and I don't mean help along the lines of "use Vi
instead" ;)

Walter
