[CLUG] up2date not working through proxy - Fedora

up2date -u --nox gives:

There was some sort of I/O error: <urlopen error (110, 'Connection timed 
out')>

Doing a wget on the file in question works fine (no delays)

/var/log/up2date has: [Mon Jan 12 12:21:08 2004] up2date 
availablePackageList from network
