I installed the most recent XFree stuff as suggested by Red Hat's up2date
on RH9, and now when I boot, I get a garbled text window asking me Yes or
No to a message I cannot read (graphic characters, see
http://oimelc.ucc.ie/X11boot.jpg)
I have to press Return (Yes), then I get a (graphical) window saying the
X server is already in use on the console, starting X on .1 (actually a
lie, it starts on 10.1 which I saw when I logged into another system and
tried to run an X program :-)
Does anyone know why it's doing this?
