Problem solved. I changed forwarding of port 22 from my
Linux box 192.168.1.2 to an old PentiumII running NetBSD
192.168.1.4. I can ssh into the NetBSD box from here
and from a remote location without any problems.
I need to spend some time tinkering with the sshd
configuration on the Linux box (Slackware 10.1).
At least I know it will work....
Ski.
