[CLUG] free wifi hotspots in Cork

[CLUG] free wifi hotspots in Cork

I noticed on http://www.corkwireless.com/hotspots.php that the Oz
cafe on Grand Parade has free wifi.
I'll be in Cork next week, with the laptop. So is it just simply a
case of ifup eth1 when i'm in that cafe? Laptop is one of those
centrino ones, with Mandrake 10.1 on it.

my ifcfg-eth1 looks like this (works fine on my wireless network at home):

DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=no
HWADDR=00:0e:35:7a:16:19
METRIC=10
MII_NOT_SUPPORTED=no
WIRELESS_MODE=Managed
WIRELESS_ESSID=any

I've just got the latest batch of Ubuntu CDs (Hoary Hedgehog, version
5.04) , so if anyone wants one when i'm in Cork, just ping me a
message. If the Oz Cafe thing works out , i'll be in there during the
week.
