The power management magick (DPMS?) that's supposed to turn the monitor back
on when you move the mouse or hit the keyboard has stopped working on my rig.
I have to turn the monitor (an LCD) off and then on again to right it.
I've been steadily uninstalling packages for the past week or so after
installing everything from Gnome by mistake - and it didn't work before I did
that - so I guess it could be something I uninstalled causing the problem.
But anyway, does anyone know where the triggers for this are? I'm pretty sure
I just need to do "xset dpms force on" somewhere, but where...?
