I can log in to my Linux box with ssh from any machine
on my local network. When I try to do the same thing
from a remote location, I get the following error message:
'Operation timed out'.
I have Eircom's standard Netopia 3347W wireless ADSL
modem/router. I have tried several different NAT
setting, all to no avail.
I have enabled the 'SSH server' service in the router's
NAT settings.
Service Name SSH server
Protocol TCP
Global Port Range 22 - 22
Host Device: 192.168.1.2 (my machine).
Eircom support say that they do not have port blocking
on port 22 or any other ports.
Ideas?
Thanks, Ski.
