I know about corkwireless.
Its a free network, hopefully soon covering most of the city, including as far as midleton, its already covering nearly all of ballincollig and starting to reach out the lee valley.
There is an active hotspot on the northside of the city which has a roof level omni and is connected out to ballincollig!
This node is not handing out dhcp, but access is only an email away.
basic access is available on the network at other users discretion, and a permenant access solution may be available in the future (depending on demand)
Any other questions, just ask.
William.
