Oopsey. I made a minor error in my original reply to you. When using
XForwarding in SSH, you should not set the DISPLAY etc by hand. When I
did it just now, it failed. However, just running the following and
nothing more worked just fine...
ssh -X rk at ws-26.cork
[rk at ws-26]xcalc
and it started fine
