Folks,

What's the flavor of the month with regard to web based forum software
at the moment?

I know vBulletin is used a lot. What else is good (where good means,
secure, scalable and simple)? Bonus points for things not written in
PHP :o)

Also, has anyone used Mambo? Any opinions on it, good or bad?
