Well, its been on my desktop for going on 6 years now, so my "year of
linux on the desktop" was around 1999.
But you might find that thats a buzz phrase coined by over excited
RedHat or Novell marketing bods or over excited American geeks who
should know better, rather than anything Linus Torvalds has said.
