I have borrowed a friend's Three HSDPA modem and I'm trying to connect
it under Ubuntu Hardy. I've used scripts from around the net as well as
from pppconfig (all broadly similar), and it connects and authenticates
OK, but won't bring up ppp because it receives a Protocol-Reject for
"Compression Control Protocol" (despite noccp in the ppp config). But
just occasionally, however, it hangs up immediately after the IPCP
ConfReq is sent, without even waiting for a response.
Does anyone have peers and chat scripts for Three that actually work?
Or is there some other trick that I have missed?
