Well damn, so am I.
I booted the live cd and it worked...no hiccups, no queries, none of
this "may not work on your system" rubbish. So a little bit of poking
showed the cursor was stable, so I went ahead and installed it.
Means I have to copy my data back from the backup disk, which is tedious
but no biggie, plus forcing in my assorted prefs here and there.
Anyway congratulations Ubuntu...I actually didn't think this would happen.
