[CLUG] Hosting needed

[CLUG] Hosting needed

Peter Flynn peter at silmaril.ie

My long-time hosting company was taken over a few years ago and has been
going steadily downhill since the boss sold out and retired. Now they
have suddenly started running a malware detector on all uploads from
site owners. The result is that I cannot upload even plaintext data
files, HTML or XML documents, without the risk of them being arbitrarily
deleted the moment they upload. Their tech support is helpless and
doesn't appear to know what rules the malware detector applies.

As a result, I need a new hosting service.

The current setup is small and pretty standard: 2Gb of disk, 5
subdomains, LAMP plus Tomcat, SSL, CGI, sftp and shell access, with
about 3Gb/month traffic bandwidth. There's a mail service with up to 100
names, some lists, a webmail front end, and POP/IMAP access. I want to
expand a little, so these are minima.

I'm open to suggestions. I need stability and a promise not to fuck with
my files.
