I suppose this might have been mentioned before but I'm not on the list that
long/ I was talking to a friend of mine who works in the localisation section
of Lotus last night. When the subject came round to Linux she mentioned that
Lotus have begun work internally on porting SmartSuite2000. Aparently the
localisation work is going to start around September sometime. I think they're
going to hire from outside for this as very few of the current bunch are
interested in working outside Windoze. AFAIK some products are being cut down
a bit but I have no specifics. Maybe they're going to go open source on this?
Hell I don't even know when the release date is. She reckons they decided to
do it because of StarOffice and WordPerfect being out there already and it
doesn't have anything to do with rumours from Redmond regarding LinuxOffice.
