[ILUG] Authorized_keys

[ILUG] Authorized_keys

) Mornin',
) I want to be able to ssh from one machine to another without
) having to enter a password. The man pages mention using ssh-keygen
) and placing your identiy.pub into the authorized_keys on the remote
) machine but this doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?
)

Does "ssh -v remote_host" give any useful info?? Did you cut and paste
~/.ssh/identity.pub into ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the remote system?
If so, it may have been pasted as multiple lines rather than one
continuous one. Or is either your home dir or ~/.ssh/ group writeable.
These seem to be amongst the more common mistakes. ssh -v should tell
you more though.
