I was just torturing myself a bit at the weekend, you know, as you do.
Installing an iol acct (yeuch :-P''' - still tastes bad) for someone.
(see http://ireland.iol.ie/~bcallan/ for further woes (NOT MY FAULT! 
(iol OR the subsequent death of PC (ALL Brian's fault))))

BUT ... ftp to iol.ie (users.iol.ie) wouldn't accept the account password.
A bit of a pain. Using the limited-functionality lynx (at telnet text.iol.ie)
 I managed to take files from somewhere in geocities and download them with 
only a little pain.

Anyone else had problems with iol.ie ftp? (and also availability of service 
(in Limerick (using both local 401320 and hunt 1891121121 nbrs)))
